Why did they cast a person with dark skin to play Laurent in the Twilight film?
Now, you might think I'm racist but that's not the case.
I've read the books several times and it states that vampires are pale and their skin is marble white. So why did they cast someone that clearly doesn't fit the part?
Infact in Eclipse Jasper describes his acquantince with two women, and one of the women has clearly mexican features although she's pale.
I don't know why they cast Laurent as Edi Gathegi, they probably wanted to make him different. Also not all of the vamps are pale. Some of the characters in BD where descibed to have dark skin....
