Divination Scrying
Why is it that the Bible condemns the use of magic, then actively promotes the use of magic?
I've been researching magic as it is used in the bible, and I have been rather confused.
In some areas, it condemns the use of divination, yet it encourages it elsewhere (Urim and Thurrim, the Casting of Lots, Scrying)
Moreso- why is it that so many of my fellow Christians adamantly oppose magic and then go on to recommend Bibliomancy (a form of Divination/magic) to find out what God is wanting us to know?
Are we to be for, or against- or is it that only certain magic that is forbidden?
Why is the bible so unclear on this matter?
note- If you do not believe in the Christian philosophy, that is fine by me. I, personally, am not trying to force my belief on anybody, and it would be nice to have the same respect in return.

This is what I mean.
Attempts to apply logic to the Bible, or to demand consistancy, usually don't go very well.
Remember that the Bible is the compiled works of many people who claim (believe them or not, it's your choice) to be relating actual events. Even if we assume they are all true, we are still getting second-hand accounts, and we all know how reliable witnesses are even under the best of circumstances. Then, we must consider that the books were compiled, translated, and have had various other things done to them. Various groups of Christians have vastly different beliefs, and individuals within each sect also vary in their beliefs, so it is very possible that the individuals who wrote each book believed different things.
And this is all assuming the relative accuracy of all the books; books were discarded as "unsuitable" for the Bible, so who is to say that all, if any, of the books are based in fact.
