iam very confused.i have 2 topics but i dont which one i should choose from the following----------?

1. Role of individual in the conservation of energy resoures
or
2.overpopulation and eco friendly lifestyles for sustainable development

I think it would be easier to go with the first topic. There is much more information out there on "What You Can Do" as it were. The second topic has a lot of things that need to be structured before the question can be addressed like:
At what point does overpopulation occur?
What aspects of lifestyle are going to be considered?
Development of what?

Just seems that the first one is more cut and dried.
