Is using a pendulum for Divination and/or spiritual guidance a kind of Witchcraft?

Or is using a tool like a pendulum for guidance like love, career, and future choices? Would this be considered Witchcraft even though you're not casting a circle? I have done Wicca before but I am trying to get away from it.

Witchcraft is a subset of "occult practices", which also includes a lot of standard religious practice and may even include religion, according to some definitions. Witchcraft may include or incorporate divination, but not all divination is witchcraft. Moreover, divination isn't magic, and the relationship between divination and magic is much like prognosis is to treatment in medicine. Divination only seeks to know with divine/spiritual aid, while magic seeks to change.

Thus, using a pendulum to answer questions falls into the same category as Tarot Cards, horary astrology, geomancy, and rune divination. You don't need to set up a circle or invoke names of spirits unless you want to specifically get their aid, though some traditions may argue with this one (such as the Neoplatonic tradition that invoked the names of angels depending on the topic of the divination).
