Reiki Healing
Is there are any one on earth who has really benefited from reiki healing ?
I mean besides being cured of the common cold or some other such minor ailment for which no medicine is required anyway. If there is such a person on earth who can really heal people please give me his whereabouts. I'd love to contact the person. I personally believe that Homeopathy and Reiki are as beneficial as seeing a witch doctor in India.
Reiki and homoeopathy are both heavily reliant on personal testimonies. Anecdotes are unreliable for many reasons. 'Stories' are prone to exaggeration, distortion, contamination and selective attention to details. Correlation does not imply causation. The vast majority of people who claim to have been 'cured' by homoeopathy and Reiki had episodic and very self-limiting conditions in the first place. Like viruses (e.g. flu virus), warts, allergies, psoriasis - they all come and go. With no proof of benefit this is a complete waste of money.
Reiki is a form of "energy" healing that revolves around the manipulation of "ki"(Japanese version of chi) and involves the transfer of energy from the Reiki practioner to patient. The idea is that the body can itself through the balancing of energy. Reiki practitioners claim to use various techniques to restore and balancing the "life force energy" within the body. There is no evidence that this sort of energy exists. It violates every single law of physics.
Homoeopathy is a similar brand of bullshit, there are no proven mechanisms for it to work, it's never been demonstrated to work and it violates every basic law of science.
Both are an elaborate scam with no scientific basis, don't be fooled.
